PCO is returning to GCW… but what will The Monster have in store for the promotion?
On Monday, GCW announced that PCO will make his return to the company. The announcement did not provide any other details about when he’ll make his official return.
PCO is a former GCW Extreme Champion, winning the (now-defunct) title during his 2018 run with the company.
PCO is currently signed to a contract with Ring Of Honor, but he will be entering the free agent pool when his deal expires later this year. According to a recent report from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, PCO gave ROH notice and informed the company that he won’t be renewing his contract once it ends on November 30. The former ROH World Champion later confirmed that report, telling Sean Waltman on the Pro Wrestling 4 Life podcast that he is looking to see how things open up on the independents. He added that while ROH is a great company, he thinks there’s more story to tell with his character that could possibly be told elsewhere.
“I think we haven’t even tapped into so much potential of my character. That’s why I’m still working hard and I think I have so much more mileage in the character. We haven’t worked on so much things yet. I feel like Ring of Honor is a great wrestling company, pure wrestling and things like that, not so much a character company for me like WWE where they can explore with tons of money massively something like that.”
