NJPW Strong is moving to Saturdays, and the show is loading up the card for its first outing on this new night.
New Japan Pro-Wrestling just announced that Hiroshi Tanahashi and Tomohiro Ishii will be in action on the show. Plus, Juice Robinson and Hikuleo will clash in a tables match.
Tanahashi currently holds the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship, as he defeated Lance Archer for the show at NJPW Resurgence. He is also an eight-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion, among many other accolades.
The announced card for the September 18 episode of NJPW Strong is as follows:
- Tomohiro Ishii vs. Alex Coughlin
- Hiroshi Tanahashi, Clark Connors and Karl Fredericks vs. Bateman, Misterioso, and Barrett Brown
- Tables Match: Juice Robinson vs. Hikuleo
