WWE has announced that it will be releasing a special documentary about its unforgettable episode of SmackDown in the wake of the terror attacks on September 11, 2001.
In a tweet, the company shared a preview of the documentary, which will spotlight the September 13, 2001 episode of SmackDown. The video includes a clip of WWE Chairman Vince McMahon discussing the significant responsibility of hosting the first (large) public assembly in the United States after the attacks; he called it one of the most difficult decisions he has ever made. Other highlights include interviews with stars who were involved with the show, like Stone Cold Steve Austin.

The documentary will premiere on Friday, September 10, one day before the 20th anniversary of the attacks. It will stream on Peacock, WWE Network, and the company’s YouTube channel.
