Saturday night on IMPACT Wrestling‘s pay-per-view Slammiversary, it was teased that The Drama King would be coming into the company. While Matt Rehwoldt has yet to comment on the vignette, he has confirmed his new ring name going forward.
Matt Rehwoldt took to social media this afternoon to confirm that while New Japan Pro Wrestling is billing him as “Matt Morris,” he will be going by the name of “The Drama King Matthew Rehwoldt” when we see him back in a wrestling ring in the near future.
Drama King Matt tweeted the following message to his fans:
“Btw you may see ‘Matt Morris’ on a few shows as back when I booked some things it was the name I was planing to use. But going forward I will be using my given name, bringing a touch of my true self to that on screen persona. I am The Drama King. I am Matthew Rehwoldt,” Drama King Matt tweeted.
