Nikki A.S.H. waited a long time to say it, but she can finally call herself a champion.
Nikki A.S.H. is the new RAW Women’s Champion and she shared her thoughts on the achievement with WWE’s Sarah Schreiber in a backstage interview:
“Twenty-four hours ago, I was Ms. Money In The Bank. ‘Nikki In The Bank.’ Twenty-four hours later I am here as the RAW Women’s Champion! Champion!!! I have waited so long to say those words and you know, tonight felt so good.
“It felt so good going out to celebrate with the WWE Universe. WWE is back, we’re back in front of our Universe, our family. That ring has always been my home and I felt like tonight, I was reunited with all my family. I got to hug them and I got to win one of the most coveted titles in this industry. I got to win it from Charlotte Flair, I beat the 11-time Women’s Champion, and now Nikki A.S.H., I did this for all the little superheroes out there. I’m leaving tonight as RAW Women’s Champion!”
Nikki also posted the following on Twitter, sharing what she’d tell her younger self about her pro wrestling journey so far:
I did that.
Go tell that little Scottish girl who dreamed of this moment……the 18 year old girl who joined a small wrestling school in Glasgow, who traveled the world to achieve her dream. Go tell her:
You did damn good little Nikki.
Nikki A.S.H. cashed in her Money In The Bank contract on Charlotte Flair to win the RAW Women’s Championship. This is her first singles title in WWE; she also won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on two occasions with Alexa Bliss.
