WWE superstar Bayley and veteran commentator Michael Cole have had a back-and-forth history for some time now, with the former SmackDown Women’s Champion even trying to get Cole into the ring and in a match at various points. In a new interview, Bayley stated that she’s still determined to make that bout happen.
Speaking with Metro’s Alistair McGeorge, Bayley said that she would love to see their feud end with the two facing off in an official match, and she promised that she’d make it happen.
“Oh, I will make it happen,” said Bayley. “Don’t even worry about! It’ll happen.”
Bayley also went on to speak about the upcoming shift away from the ThunderDome, and the return of live fans to WWE events after the lengthy pandemic era. “The Role Model” noted that she’d miss being able to constantly rib Cole now that fans are getting ready to come back.
“I am gonna miss that,” Bayley said. “I don’t know if people realize it or they think I’m doing it just for fun – which it is fun, to give Cole crap. But I can literally hear them! They’re 10 feet away from me in an empty arena, so I can hear everything he’s saying, so it just felt fitting to respond to it. Why not?”
Of course, getting to see fans back in the building is exciting to every WWE superstar, Bayley included. She has gone through quite the arc over the past year, as she has transformed into a dastardly heel. She made it clear that she’s interested to see how live fans will react to her once WWE hits the road again.
“I’m interested to see how they react to me when I come back,” she said. “I just feel so grateful that [WWE] gave me the opportunity to show a different side to me and show that I can be so much more. I’ve been having the best time!”
