Samoa Joe says everyone should embrace their inner enforcer.
Samoa Joe was the latest guest on Out Of Character with Ryan Satin, and spoke about his return to NXT in a new “enforcer” role. Noting that Joe didn’t have an official on-air title, Joe remarked that “it’s hard to name a force of nature. How do you put words to that?” Joe said he liked the sound of “Executive Enforcer” and Satin joked that he should float it by Triple H, then the two spoke about Joe’s new role with NXT—and the lax rules that come with it.
“It’s a wonderful thing to be an enforcer. I mean, you never have to explain yourself, you’re always ready to go. Nobody ever questions why you do violent and erratic things, you’re an enforcer. ‘He’s trying to enforce.’ Like, what do you want out of this guy? He’s trying to enforce. It’s always a great thing to be an enforcer in any situation. Arn Anderson had it right, he got it right a long time ago, and I just suggest [to] all of us, embrace your inner enforcer. It’s a very liberating feeling.”
Samoa Joe was initially released by WWE on April 15, but ended up being brought back to the NXT brand, making his official on-air return on June 15.
