WWE Files Trademark For Piper Niven’s Likely New Ring Name

It looks like Piper Niven‘s new ring might have been revealed by a new trademark filing by WWE.

According to a new filing (via Heel By Nature), WWE applied to trademark “Doudrop” on June 14. The trademark application was entered in the database on Thursday (June 17) and on its own is rather vague, but the more interesting part is how it reportedly links to Piper Niven.

Niven just debuted on RAW this week as Eva Marie‘s sidekick, but she was never identified by her name and the commentary team played it off like they didn’t know her. Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp later reported that “Doudrop” was pitched as a name for her to use on the main roster, but had no idea if the name would be used on TV. Now with the trademark application being filed, it would appear that WWE has plans to use the name moving forward.

Piper Niven debuted with WWE in the first Mae Young Classic in 2017, and later signed a contract with WWE in 2019. Prior to signing with WWE, she also used the name “Viper” as her moniker.
