WWE continues to bring back some of the people it released in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Producers Shane Helms and David Finlay have returned to the company in recent months, and now another name is back in the fold.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that Shawn Daivari is back in WWE.
“Shawn Daivari is at today’s Friday Night Smackdown taping and has returned to the company as a Producer, PWInsider.com has confirmed,” wrote Johnson.
Just last weekend, Daivari worked as a producer at some tapings for the National Wrestling Alliance. Since his WWE release, he competed for IMPACT Wrestling and Major League Wrestling, but it now seems that he’s focusing on his role behind the scenes.
WWE hired Daivari as a producer in 2019; his run as a wrestler with the company came between 2004 and 2007. He briefly returned in 2018, when he made an appearance at the Greatest Royal Rumble event.
