MSK faced a tough challenge this week when they defended the NXT Tag Team Championship against Legado del Fantasma.
The two teams have been feuding in recent weeks, as Legado del Fantasma has been hoping to gain some gold to make up for Santos Escobar’s loss of the NXT Cruiserweight Championship.
As expected, this match offered a thrilling clash between two electric duos with high-flying offense. MSK, in particular, showcased the chemistry that rocketed them to the top of the tag team division in NXT. After a few minutes of remarkable in-ring action, the bout was on the verge of chaos. Grizzled Young Veterans came to ringside, prepared to interfere, but Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher chased them to the back.

Later, the challengers kept Wes Lee grounded and isolated him. Eventually, Nash Carter tagged in and cleared house, so the champions regained the upper hand. But Legado del Fantasma flipped the momentum again, and an assisted powerbomb earned the challengers a two count on Lee. With a chance to interfere, Escobar threw Lee into the steel steps. Suddenly, Bronson Reed squashed Escobar against the wall.

With Escobar neutralized, MSK clinched the win with a double-team neckbreaker on Wilde.
