IMPACT Wrestling has new Tag Team Champions but it’s not the duo that was initially challenging for the gold
Building up to the May 20 episode of IMPACT Wrestling, it was known that FinJuice we’re going to defend their championships against Ace Austin and Madman Fulton. Prior to this episode airing, it was reported by Dave Meltzer that both Juice Robinson and David Finlay were unable to make their flight out of Japan because they tested positive for COVID-19.
Despite this, they were able to overcome Austin and Fulton (in a match taped prior to them leaving for Japan) and retain their titles. However, they ended up running into a roadblock when Rhino cashed in his Call Your Shot Trophy and challenged for the Tag Team Championship immediately with Joe Doering.
Joe Doering and Rhino were able to make quick work of the incumbent champions and are now the new IMPACT Wrestling Tag Team Champions.
