SCU earned a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championships last week, and they faced the Young Bucks for the titles on Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite. Beyond the importance of the title match, this bout carried an extra special stipulation. If SCU lost, they would be forced to break up.

In a match between two of the best tag teams in AEW, SCU lived up to the hype that they spoke about last week. The duo started off hot and gained momentum from the start, taking out both members of The Young Bucks in surprising fashion. The champions recovered and took control of the match. A forceful superkick from Matt Jackson sent Christopher Daniels crashing into the ring post, and the legend was busted open in the process.

After Nick Jackson broke up a pin, he watched on as his brother took advantage of Daniels’ wound and nearly pinned him Though SCU fought valiantly, the Young Bucks eventually hit the BTE Trigger on the bloodied Daniels to put him down for the count. As a result, SCU is no more.
