Jinder Mahal is back in the ring and he’s got two new allies in Indus Sher.
This week’s episode of WWE Main Event saw Jinder Mahal return to the ring for the first time since January and he was flanked by the team of Rinku Singh and Saurav Gurjur, aka Indus Sher. This marks Mahal’s first match since January’s WWE Superstar Spectacle, and his first appearance on WWE television since the April 27, 2020 episode of WWE Main Event.
This week’s show saw Mahal beat Jeff Hardy, who had also been absent from WWE TV since March 22, a loss to The Miz on RAW. In a twist of fate of sorts, Mahal’s Superstar Spectacle appearance was a six-man tag team match that saw him team with the Bollywood Boyz, losing to Indus Sher and Drew McIntyre.
Jinder Mahal has had a series of setbacks in recent years that delayed his in-ring career, including a knee injury suffered in June of 2019. After he returned from that injury in April 2020, it was revealed that he had to have another surgery to fix complications from the initial procedure. Following another nine-month layoff, Mahal’s first match back was at the Superstar Spectacle.
