Mercedes Martinez Takes Out Dakota Kai
Mercedes Martinez has her sights set on Raquel Gonzalez, but it was not before having to power through Dakota Kai. The two competitors kicked off this week’s NXT and Martinez started off hot, but Kai slowed the game down to even matters out. Defeating Kai, however, was step one of her two goals, and in that effort she hit a modified Burning Hammer for a near fall. Kai bounces back through the first commercial break, utilizing kicks to keep Martinez down, but the innovative offense benefits the veteran. Raquel confronts Mercedes on the outside and ultimately boots her in the mush for a disqualification win. Post-match, Kai and Raquel gang up on Martinez.
Timothy Thatcher Returns To Attack The Grizzled Young Veterans
Timothy Thatcher is back. He and Tomasso Ciampa seek the NXT Tag Titles and they found some adversaries in The Grizzled Young Veterans. Zack Gibson and James Drake began to run down MSK, but were interrupted by a returning Thatcher alongside the Sicilian Psychopath. He and Thatcher confront GYV before Ciampa removes his shoe to slug the Brits with it. The heels bail as the tandem are left standing on top of this segment.
