Lio Rush sure is exuding confidence as MLW World Middleweight Champion as he’s successfully defend the title twice since defeating Myron Reed for the belt back at Kings of Colosseum.
Time is invaluable to “The Man of The Hour” as he had a brief sit-down chat with Alicia Atout who asked him some questions about his current run and future plans.
“I am a history maker and what I did against Mr. Myron Reed was history, what I did against Brian Pillman Jr. was history and what I did to Laredo Kid…you know the rest,” Lio said. The champ then asked if there were plans to defend the belt again
“Yeah, they’re in the works,” he said with dismiss. “I plan on doing exactly what I’ve been doing for the past six years of being the best wrestling in the world and that’s going out there showing the world exactly why I am the ‘Man of the Hour,’ why I am the ’25-Year Old Piece of Gold’ and you know what? I’ve got fans out there! They want to see me defend this championship so that’s exactly what I’m going to do.”
Alicia asks if anyone in specific is on his mind.
“Does it matter? That’s the real question. Does it matter who steps up to the plate? Don’t worry about who is going to step up to the plate, just know that I’m the only one that’s creating diamonds at the end of the night.”
Before the interview ended, Lio wanted to make certain that the fans (and his colleagues) were well aware of one thing:
“So to the fans at home, to the fans in the locker room: keep putting that money in my pocket! Keep on making the world say the name ‘Lio Rush.’ I appreciate it, I really do.”
