Tonight’s episode of IMPACT Wrestling ended with a huge announcement, as Scott D’Amore revealed that not only would IMPACT Sacrifice feature a title unification match, but that the winner would then go on to wrestle at IMPAXT Wrestling’s Rebellion pay-per-view next month.
For most of the final segment of tonight’s IMPACT, Moose – the TNA World Heavyweight Champion – had demanded that D’Amore come out and make an announcement that the man had been teasing for the entirety of the show. When D’Amore finally came out, he also called down the IMPACT World Champion, Rich Swann, and revealed that despite him thinking that Moose’s title is not truly legitimate, their match at IMPACT Sacrifice will now be to unify both belts.
However, D’Amore wasn’t done there, and announced that whoever wins both belts at Sacrifice will then have to defend those titles against none other than Kenny Omega, the AEW World Champion, in a Title vs. Title match IMPACT’s Rebellion pay-per-view on April 21, 2021. With three championships essentially now on the line, the next two months will go a long way in determining the landscape for both IMPACT Wrestling and All Elite Wrestling, so fans won’t want to miss out on either pay-per-views.
