Tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown saw the return of none other than Murphy, as he surprisingly showed up in an effort to extend his assistance to Seth Rollins. While it was initially turned down, Murphy still took to the ring against Cesaro, and was dealt a tough loss in the process.

Things began with Seth Rollins participating in a segment backstage, where he said that Cesaro won’t embrace his vision, and doesn’t want to. Murphy then came walking in, and after a tense moment between the two, said that he may be able to help out Rollins with the Cesaro situation. Rollins wanted nothing to do with it, though, and quickly told Murphy to get out of his sight.
Later in the episode, Murphy ended up taking on Cesaro in a match that saw Rollins show up as ringside commentary. In the match, Cesaro ended up dominating Murphy towards the end, finishing things off with a big finisher that left Murphy out and Rollins a bit pleased about the situation.
