Vying for a crack at Hikaru Shida’s AEW Women’s Championship were U.S. bracket winner Nyla Rose and Japan bracket standout Ryo Mizunami. The two women put on a true hoss fight as their match was hard hitting and filled with powerful moves. Mizunami hit a huge elevated leg drop on Rose for a near fall, but the former AEW Women’s Champion managed to kick out. Rose would land a Death Valley Driver for a two count of her own and then go to the top rope for a diving knee drop. Shockingly, Mizunami managed to kick out.

The end finally came after Mizunami hit a spear and then hit a guillotine leg drop. With the win, Mizunami will now face Shida on Sunday’s AEW Revolution pay-per-view event.
