Chelsea Green is sticking with WWE for the foreseeable future.
Fightful is reporting Green recently re-signed with WWE, now staying under contract with the company through 2023. Despite being sidelined since November with an injury, Green signed a new three-year contract with WWE “at some point” after her wrist injury took her out of action. It was noted that Green’s contract was initially scheduled to expire in the summer.
WWE reportedly had big plans for Green at the 2020 edition of Survivor Series, but an unfortunate injury in her SmackDown debut caused her to be taken off of TV. Green was a last-minute entrant in a fatal 4-way match on the November 13 edition of SmackDown, suffering a broken wrist after an apron spot early in the match.
with a Survivor Series spot on the line. Green was quickly taken out of the match, leading to speculation about why she was in the match. As it turns out, she suffered a broken wrist and was taken to the hospital afterward. Green was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation and ultimately had surgery on her wrist, and has since started training towards her lastest comeback.
