Wrestling fans became concerned today after National Wrestling Alliance removed all of their content from their YouTube channel, but the results are ultimately positive, according to a source.
If you do happen to visit NWA’s channel you will see no content is currently available to view. There is also nothing currently available on the NWA Shop website. Dominic DeAngelo of WrestleZone reached out to a source close to the matter and was notified that this is positive news for the promotion.
Considering that NWA’s primary program Powerrr was based in an intimate studio setting down in Georgia, the company happened to be one of the primary American based promotions that has had its share of trouble due to the pandemic. During 2020, however, talent and stars such as Nick Aldis, Aron Stevens and Trevor Murdoch all were able to represent the company on UWN Primetime Live Shows which were presented by David Marquez (also the ring announcer for NWA Powerrr). Murdoch happened to become the National TV Champion after defeating Stevens on Primetime Live.
In addition to that, the NWA Women’s Worlds Championship has been healthily represented in All Elite Wrestling as both Thunder Rosa and Serena Deeb have successfully defended the title on AEW programming. Allysin Kay, also a former NWA Women’s Worlds Champion, competed in a title match on AEW programming. It should also be noted that NWA was officially recognized with “world title status” by Pro Wrestling Illustrated.
WrestleZone will be sure to keep you updated as the story develops.
