New Japan Pro Wrestling concludes the Road To Castle Attack tour on Thursday. The show was originally supposed to be headlined by Bullet Club’s El Phantasmo & Taiji Ishimori defend their IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Championships against IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion Hiromu Takahashi & BUSHI, but Takahashi suffered a torn-pectoral and is expected to miss six months.
Instead ELP & Ishimori will face the team they defeated for the titles in January, El Desperado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru. There is still no word on El Phantasmo’s planned match against Takahashi on 2/28.
Takahashi isn’t the only LIJ member that was injured on this tour. Tetsuya Naito suffered a knee injury, that led to him being pulled from a few live events. He will return to action on Thursday, but is likely to take it easy on his injured limb.
