We’ve been covering a story for two years now surrounding WWE Superstar Booker T filing a court case against video game maker Activision for allegedly making the appearance of David “Prophet” Wilkes in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 look nearly identical to comic book version of his former G.I. Bro character.
Booker T created the gimmick way before the 2000’s and even brought it back in 2000 with WCW. G.I. Bro and the Dragon of Death was released in 2015. Booker T created and owns the copyrights to this. Booker T continues to say that his permission was never sought and that the first-person-shooter is thought to have made over $1 billion since its release in 2018.
PWInsider has found out that progress has now been made on the case, as Booker T will be presenting his case after jury selection is complete, which is slated for April 19 of this year. Booker T is not asking for a specific amount of money, and will seek whatever is thought to be acceptable by the court. Eastern District of Texas Judge Robert W. Schroeder III will oversee the case.
