Meiko Satomura is reportedly joining WWE, and she will compete as a member of the NXT UK roster.

A report from Yahoo! Japan (via Bell To Belles) states that Satomura has signed with the company. This move had been expected since last fall, and now it seems official, though WWE hasn’t officially announced the news.

Per the report, she is expected to wrestle and coach other members of the roster.

Satomura is one of the most accomplished Japanse wrestlers in the world. She has recently starred in Sendai Girls’ Pro Wrestling, but she has won world titles with Progress Wrestling, Fight Club: PRO, Gaea Japan, and World Wonder Ring Stardom. She previously wrestled for WWE in the 2018 Mae Young Classic, and she lost to Toni Storm in the semifinals.

As a 41-year-old, Satomura has plenty of experience in the wrestling business, so she’s set to become one of NXT UK’s veteran competitors.
