The arena goes dark. Randy Orton says that sometimes when you play with fire you get burned. Orton is revealed to be wearing what looks like a white Lucha mask. Orton says the voices in his head have never been louder. Three weeks ago he showed Alexa Bliss a side of himself that he didn’t know existed; compassion. Orton can’t sleep because every time he closes his eyes he sees a fireball coming towards his face. If there was any semblance of compassion left in his body it left him that night.
Orton is wearing this mask to protect himself and shield everyone from the horror he endured. Orton just came away with first degree burns so he got lucky. He doesn’t blame Bliss for any of this. Orton blames The Fiend. Orton knows that The Fiend wants. He wants to stop Orton from winning the Royal Rumble. Orton says you could chop off all of his limbs and he’d still win the Rumble this year. Orton says he enjoys the pain. Orton says everyone can thank The Fiend when he burns their Royal Rumble dreams to ashes. Orton lights a match.
Earlier today, Ric Flair arrived at the arena with Lacey Evans. Charly asks Evans about the nature of their relationship. Evans chastises Charly for questioning a 16-time world champion.
Peyton Royce vs. Charlotte Flair
As Charlotte makes her way to the ring, Royce attacks her from behind. Referees break up the brawl. After the break, the bell rings. Charlotte is all over Royce. Royce tries to fire back but Charlotte double legs her. Royce and Charlotte fall to the outside. Charlotte lights Royce up with chop after chop. Charlotte accidentally chops the ring post. Royce works over Charlotte. Charlotte misses a splash in the corner.
Royce gets a near fall after slamming Charlotte’s head into the mat. Royce continues her assault on Charlotte. Charlotte rolls up Royce for near fall. Charlotte lands a rope assist neck breaker. Ric Flair’s music hits. Flair walks out on the stage. Flair introduces Evans, who is wearing one of Flair’s robes. Royce lands a big boot and gets a long two count after the distraction. After the break, Charlotte boots Royce off the apron. Charlotte yells for Evans to get in the ring. Charlotte chop blocks Royce. Charlotte locks Royce in the Figure-Eight. Royce taps out.
Winner- Charlotte Flair
Charlotte refuses to let the hold go. A bunch of referees hit the ring. Charlotte eventually lets the hold go.
