Matt Cardona made a surprise IMPACT Wrestling debut at the Hard to Kill pay-per-view.
Cardona was introduced by IMPACT’s Scott D’Amore, who setup an impromptu match against Super X Cup winner Ace Austin after Austin complained about not being on the card. IMPACT commentator Matt Striker referenced his infamous WWE commentary line by saying, “this is a mark out moment and I’m marking out, bro!”

However, the match never got to finish as Austin’s partner Madman Fulton interfered by attacking Cardona. That meant he picked up a win via disqualification, although he clearly has unfinished business with Austin.
