Gerald Brisco couldn’t be any more thankful for the mentorship role Xavier Woods provided in the wrestling business for his son Wes.
Back in TNA, Woods was known as Consequences Creed and he played a vital part in making sure Wes was well looked after, and Gerald talked about how integral of a role Woods played on a new episode of Wes’ podcast.
“I’ll always be grateful for Xavier Woods because Xavier really took Wes under his wing. Xavier had come from TNA and had already experienced a high level, and he was able to pass that knowledge willingly on to Wes and elevate Wes not only in the ring but (also) mentally. That’s what I really appreciate. It’s great when a guy takes the time and teaches you how to be a better tag team partner, but when he takes the time and teaches you how to be a better businessman, that’s helping the business (and) helping everybody elevate their selves. That’s what Xavier did for Wes and I’ll always be grateful for that.”
Plenty more from this interview with Gerry as he talks about his memories with Pat Patterson and Wes’ interactions with fellow legends Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan. Check out the whole interview below:
