Just days before WWE TLC, AJ Styles, faced Sheamus. “The Celtic Warrior” controlled the match early on, as he overpowered Styles. “The Phenomenal One” tried to gain some momentum, and he succeeded when he tied Sheamus up in the ropes. A running knee strike gave Styles a temporary advantage, but Sheamus persevered. He threw Styles around the ring. But Omos saved Styles from a powerbomb at ringside. Sheamus and Omos stared each other down.

The distraction helped Styles ground Sheamus by targeting his leg. But an Irish Curse backbreaker gave Sheamus some breathing room. Sheamus confronted Omos again, but he stayed focused on Styles. He reversed a Styles Clash into a slam for a near fall. Styles knocked Sheamus off the top rope and pinned him to win the match. After the bell, Omos stopped Sheamus from attacking Styles, and “The Phenomenal One” beat Sheamus up when he was tied in the ropes. Styles then attacked Sheamus with a chair. Styles targeted Sheamus’ injured leg with the chair.
