Eddie Kingston notes that he will be back this Wednesday on AEW Dynamite after suffering a major defeat at the hands of Jon Moxley in the main event of Full Gear on Saturday.
Kingston was forced to say “I quit” after Mox wrapped barbed wire around his forearm to further inflict pain on his signature Bulldog Choke. Eddie was evidently despondent after the loss and the champion offered a hand to help his fallen foe. Kingston, ever indignant, refused the gesture and left the ring.
On the latest Being The Elite, a still despondent and emotional Kingston sat alone to reflect on the loss and give his own impromptu “press conference,” noting that Jon told him two words that The Mad King wholeheartedly disagrees with.
“Jon said something to me in the ring at the end. He said, ‘It’s over,’ and I told him, ‘It’s never over. ‘I sold my soul to the devil and the game is playing the game of pro wrestling. Something I never done. I politicked, I jumped him, I talked shit about him behind his back to Tony to try to get a match. I did everything I said I’d never do just for the opportunity. I don’t regret it, but it’s just another sin I have to pay for, but I’ll be back Wednesday cause I don’t have anything else in this life. Like you guys think this is a joke, character, you know what I mean? It’s not. I don’t have nothing else but pro wrestling. I wanted to be Worlds’ Champion and I’m gonna be but I thought that tonight was the night and that’s what really messes with my head. I didn’t want to quit. There was no way out. My neck went whatever and made this go numb (indicates left hand). It’s an old injury. I’ll just, I’ll be back Wednesday. I’ll be back Wednesday.”
