Ivelisse says she’s signed with All Elite Wrestling.
Ivelisse, along with Diamante, won the first-ever Deadly Draw women’s tag team tournament in AEW history. In the subsequent weeks, she has wrestled the NWA Women’s World Champion, Thunder Rosa, and appeared in the crowd as part of the audience. Recently, while appearing on Pro Wrestling Junkies, Ivelisse revealed that she has signed with the company.
“I haven’t been able to officially confirm anywhere yet, but I can confirm right now, and I asked if it was okay, that I am indeed signed to AEW,” Ivelisse revealed. “Honestly, that moment was very emotional for me. Through the last couple of years have been really tough for me for so many reasons. Number one, Lucha Underground, and being kept through our contracts and all of that. Once that was finally terminated, it took a while to regain that momentum that was lost, and a combination of other things, and personal issues. It was kind of a really dark time. Nothing came from the WWE tryout, so once this AEW opportunity came up, I was just really happy. When the moment came that I heard the words, I got overwhelmed with emotion, especially because during that same week, the fire happened at my house. I was kind of at the end of my rope, I got emotional, and it was hard for me to contain it. I’m just incredibly happy. I feel something that I haven’t felt in a really long time, which is hope for the future, feeling valued, and a sense of security.”
AEW has yet to confirm Ivelisse’s signing. WrestleZone will continue to monitor the story and report any and all updates.
