NXT’s scream queen and the Cerebral Assassin comment on the return of Halloween Havoc.
As seen on last night’s NXT TakeOver 31 broadcast, Halloween Havoc will return as a one-night special event under the NXT brand on October 28. Shotzi Blackheart was announced as the host of the event, and she posted the following remarks after the big reveal:
If you are going to scream, scream with me! #halloweenhavoc #wwenxt @WWENXT https://t.co/GNaaMiuSTo
— Shotzi (@ShotziWWE) October 5, 2020
She also added that “this isn’t a trick! Halloween Havoc is back AND I am hosting it!”
Triple H addressed the event’s return on the post-show media call, noting that bringing back the theme this way is fitting.
“As far as Halloween Havoc, it’s just an exciting event. It’s a way to have a little fun and to entertain, and it’s something that I used to look forward to, so here we are. I think these throwbacks and opening things up to stuff like this that people remember fondly is a great way to do it. I’m excited for it, excited to get rolling and who better to host than Shotzi Blackheart? I think even when you saw the promo but Shotzi fits right in there with Halloween Havoc. It’s going to be a good one.”
Halloween Havoc was originally a WCW pay-per-view theme from 1989 through 2000 hosted in October. The final five events were held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
