This week’s episode of Talk Is Jericho celebrated the show’s 700th episode by having the stars of Talk’n Shop join the show. Karl Anderson, Doc Gallows and Rocky Romero discussed the Talk’n Shop A Mania pay-per-view and various other topics, including confirming when a sequel to the event will go down.
The trio was talking about re-signing with WWE last year and having “signer’s remorse” over it, but Gallows shifted to some positive news and confirmed the sequel will take place on November 13.
Anderson : “Like we’ve said before, we clearly made the wrong decision re-signing with WWE because, it’s nice to get that out there on Talk is Jericho’s platform because that’s just something that ate at us for awhile.”
“We did know, deep inside, we made the wrong decision.”
Gallows: “We had signer’s remorse, we said that from the get-go. I mean, but let’s shift to the positive though, and look at what’s going on outside of WWE.”
Gallows, as Sex Ferguson, then announced that Talk’n Shop A Mania 2 will happen on November 13 at 10:00 P.M.:
Gallows: “Friday, November 13, Talk’n Shop A Mania 2, I’m announcing it live right here on Talk’n Shop via Talk Is Jericho. I’m coming for [Chad] Too Bad, it ain’t gonna be an Eye For an Eye, it’s gonna be a Ball for a Ball Match.”
The Good Brothers also spoke about the creation of the original event, noting that they [Karl and Rocky] didn’t want to do it right away but Gallows talked them into it.
Anderson: “We didn’t want to do it at all, and Gallows, maybe when we got canned, right away, Gallows was on us immediately for this pay-per-view in his backyard, which I thought was insane. But you gotta understand, Gallows is insane.”
Romero: “On paper, it was a terrible idea”
Gallows: “How many guys do you see get let go or leave somewhere or do whatever, and they get bitter, and they get mad, and they say some bulls—, and then it goes away? What better way to f—– come back at something like that than to spoof it, parody it, and make f—— six figures off of it? I think we’re g——— geniuses for it.”
On a related note, Doc Gallows spoke with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard while promoting the Talk ‘N Shop A Mania pay-per-view and said they would entertain running a sequel if it was successful enough.
“I actually—Karl [Anderson] and Rocky [Romero] are going to hate me for saying this—but we strategically put a lot of our friends on there and then left a few off on purpose because we needed something for the next one, if and when there is a next one.”
“I’ve always kinda had promoter blood running through my veins. I had an independent promotion in Georgia called WrestleMerica for a few years, I have another one called Lariato Pro Wrestling now. When the Lariato shows start back up they’ll be part of IMPACT Plus streaming app. That’s $7.99 and it’s every PPV in IMPACT history is there with a lot of great independent content, and Lariato will be joining forces with them. They’ve opened the door for me to use IMPACT talent on those shows as well, so it’s very exciting. I love promoting and creating and if there’s any way to have a Talk ’N Shop A-Mania 2, I’m definitely going to do it. The only thing that I may not do is have it in my own home because you don’t know what 40 wrestlers can do to your house until you invite them all over.”
