The NXT United Kingdom Champion wants to step into the ring with the WWE Champion. In an interview with Oliver Browning of GiveMeSport, WALTER discussed his respect for Drew McIntyre and said he wants to face him in a match. “‘I have a lot of respect for Drew,'” said WALTER via Browning. “‘He represents European wrestling as a whole very well in the United States.'”
WALTER also praised McIntyre’s in-ring style. “‘I really like his style of wrestling, he’s a big and tall guy, very intense,'” said WALTER via Browning. “‘I’m hoping for a singles match with him one day.'”
WALTER also discussed his lengthy reign as the NXT United Kingdom Champion. “‘500 days is a long run with a title, but to be fair, we’ve had half a year break,'” said WALTER via Browning. “‘We’ve got to put it into perspective but going forward, these new tapings will give us a chance to step up.'”
When NXT UK returns from a hiatus caused by COVID-19, WALTER seems ready to continue his dominant reign.
