After being put on hold earlier this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it seems as if Heels – the upcoming wrestling series starring Stephen Amell – may be getting ready to ramp up production.
In a recent tweet by Amell, the former Arrow star shared a snapshot of what looks to be a gym banner, appropriately called Hells Gymnasium. This tease comes hot on the heels of a recent Deadline report, which states that veteran actress Mary McCormack has been tapped to play the lead opposite Amell in the show.
Hells is currently scheduled to air eight episodes, with the story centering around a man and woman who chase their dreams in the world of small-town professional wrestling. With Amell having real-life wrestling experience, it’ll be interesting to see just how accurate the show gets when it comes to the world of tinier wrestling companies.
