If fans were disappointed at the fact that Sonya Deville or Mandy Rose weren’t going to get their head shaved and worried of the possibility of one of them actually leaving WWE, there is some solid reasoning behind it, according to Dave Meltzer.
On this morning’s “Wrestling Observer Radio,” Meltzer told Bryan Alvarez that the hair vs. hair plan was scrapped due to the advisement of Sonya Deville’s attorney in light of her impending appearances in court following her unfortunate home invasion incident with a mentally unwell stalker. They believed that an extreme style change such as shaving your head may not be the best presentation in a legal setting and therefore, the plans were changed to a “Loser Leaves WWE” match. Meltzer is unsure if this does indicate that Deville will be taking some time off.
Sonya sure did lose last night to her former friend in Mandy after being one of the early bouts of the evening for SummerSlam. Post-match Deville showed her frustration as Mandy celebrated with her peached-up partner in Otis.
