A court motion reveals that fellow WWE Superstar Mandy Rose was with Sonya Deville during the attempted kidnapping that occurred this past weekend.
Deville, whose real name is Daria Berenato, revealed the information in a court request for stalking protection from Phillip A. Thomas II. Thomas broke into Deville’s house and was holding a knife and pepper spray when he confronted her. Deville’s home security alarm went off at 2:41 a.m. and she woke up Rose (real name Amanda Saccomanno). Deville then learned that someone was in the family room from the security panel and saw Thomas inside.
“There’s a man in the house, we have to go,” Deville told Rose before she grabbed her keys and escaped via her car in the garage. This escape was only made possible after Thomas thought she had ran upstairs. The police would then arrive and arrest Thomas, who was still inside the house after they left.
More details on the disturbing kidnapping attempt, including message that Thomas sent on social media, can be found at the Tampa Bay Times. Rose and Deville are set to face each other in a hair vs. hair match at SummerSlam this Sunday.
