During tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Stephanie McMahon called Sasha Banks and Bayley down to the ring. With both champions in the ring, McMahon announced a big, triple brand battle royal, with some big SummerSlam implications.
Appearing on the jumbotron, McMahon congratulated Bayley and Banks for their success, but also said that they’ve made a mockery of various stipulations she’s made en route to winning their titles. McMahon went on to say that instead of holding a grudge, she wants to challenge Bayley and Banks, and said that Banks could be defending her WWE RAW Women’s Championship against an opponent to be determined at SummerSlam.
As for Bayley, McMahon said that she will definitely be defending her WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship at SummerSlam, and that it’ll be against one of the many superstars the duo have angered. McMahon then announced a special, triple brand battle royal that will feature various superstars from RAW, SmackDown, and NXT.
