AJ Styles took on Gran Metalik during tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, where the WWE Intercontinental Champion retained his title in a big match.
After securing a championship opportunity last week, Metalik didn’t prove to be much of a match against Styles. While he did have a handful of chances to win, Styles ended up taking things over late in the match, and after hitting Metalik with a chop-block in mid-air, he locked in the Calf Crusher on Metalik and forced his opponent to tap out. Following the match, Styles took his aggression out further, attacking Dorado as he checked on Metalik and hitting him with a Styles Clash.
