Following his sudden exit from IMPACT amid allegations of sexual misconduct, Michael Elgin has issued a statement on Instagram. In it, he thanks the company for the time he spent there and states that he plans to spend more time with his son:
I appreciate the time and opportunities given to me with Impact. That locker room, the film crew, and all the company officials were a pleasure to be associated with. I hope that in time things get sorted.
For now, I have to look at the bright side, I have more time to spend with my son and reclaim time that has been missed.

Elgin is one of many wrestlers dropped by organizations thanks to victims telling their stories on social media as part of the #SpeakingOut movement. Before his removal from future IMPACT broadcasts, he was slated to be one of five competitors wrestling for their World Championship at the upcoming Slammiversary show. Tessa Blanchard, the most recent holder of the title, was also terminated from her contract this week for different reasons.
