Jamie Noble is the latest WWE talent to confirm they’ve contracted COVID-19.
Noble currently serves as a WWE producer and confirmed the news on his Instagram account, posting the following:
“Not how we expect this month to go! Covid-19 has hit home. Prayers for me and my family will be greatly appreciated!”
Multiple people have reportedly tested positive for the coronavirus this week. Noble is the fifth person to publicly confirm they’ve tested positive this week. WWE’s Renee Young, Kayla Braxton and Adam Pearce publicly announced they have the virus; a man used as an extra at the tapings also revealed he tested positive.
PWInsider.com reported one source believed the total number of positive tests in WWE could be in “the two dozen range” but could not confirm the accuracy of that beyond confirming there are multiple positive cases. POST Wrestling also reported WWE had talent and crew arrive one day early this week in order to test talent.
When asked for comment on the positive cases, WWE issued the following statement to WrestleZone:
“WWE will continue COVID-19 testing of its talent, production crew and employees in advance of TV productions for the foreseeable future.”
