Even though they can’t go to the Motor City at the moment, IMPACT picked up one of their Machine Guns. Thanks to a tweet by one Joseph Ryan, we know that former TNA Champion Chris Sabin is backstage at the latest set of tapings. Furthermore, we can speculate that he might be wrestling on said tapings, the first time he’d be on TNA/IMPACT TV since 2014.

Sabin was last seen on a regular basis in ROH, both teaming with his former MCMG partner Alex Shelley and as a solo competitor. He’s also had two prominent appearances in New Japan Pro-Wrestling since his TNA departure, but never a sustained run. Could Sabin be looking to reclaim the TNA Championship from self-proclaimed titleholder Moose? Or could he have something more serious in mind? Maybe he’s just enjoying IMPACT’s catering? Whatever the reason, it’ll be interesting to see what the star ends up doing on IMPACT in the weeks ahead.
