Expect a livelier crowd on WWE TV starting this week.
Fightful Select (subscription required) is reporting members of the NXT roster and WWE Performance Center will be placed in the crowd as fans starting as soon as tonight’s episode of RAW. The talent will intentionally be kept off-camera but they will be “used to help create an environment” that benefits the WWE brand, which would lead to speculation that they’ve addressed the complaints about the lack of crowd noise. It was noted that the talent will be in the crowd for both RAW and SmackDown, which tapes this week at the WWE Performance Center.
Fightful noted Dominik Dijakovic, Chelsea Green, Shotzi Blackheart, and Jessamyn Duke were among the names expected to be participating in the crowd and that they had been screened at an offsite location for COVID-19 and shuttled back and forth to the PC. Air-conditioned tents were also said to be provided, and a dress code of black pants and black shoes, and whatever WWE t-shirts the company provides was implemented for the tapings.
F4WOnline.com‘s Bryan Alvarez has also confirmed WWE was considering both talent and staff in the crowd for NXT, but the final decision was not made yet.
