Despite no longer being a part of WWE, Jon Moxley didn’t skip out on WrestleMania 36. Speaking to Fightful, Moxley revealed that he did watch the biggest night in WWE, and actually enjoyed a lot of it.
When asked if he had been watching the event, Moxley confirmed he was, and said that he was a fan of the show as a whole. “I watched the whole thing,” Moxley said (transcriptions via Fightful). “Both nights. I enjoyed it. I thought it flowed nicely and a lot of people really worked their ass off and put on great performances. I enjoyed the Boneyard Match, I thought that was cool. I thought that was really cool, too, because the Undertaker is a really beloved character. He’s like a comic book character. He’s a beloved character from our childhood. Same as John Wayne or John McClane or any action movie star you can think of, so it was really cool. I think everybody really enjoyed that.”
Although he may be gone from the company, it’s nice to see Moxley still congratulating his former partners on their biggest night. At the end of the day, it seems as if Moxley is just a fan of great wrestling, and WrestleMania 36 had its fair share of that. For more from Moxley, check out the full interview at this link.
The Watch List will take a look at what matches you should be watching while you’re at home and they come recommended by today’s pro wrestling stars.
“I’m still watching all wrestling really. When RAW is on, I’ll throw that on, when Dynamite’s on now, I’ll check out what’s going on. I’ve been checking out some of the MLW shows too, MLW Fusion, they’ve got some pretty good shows there too. They still have stuff they taped when there was still crowds. Davey Boy Smith Jr. is there, ‘Filthy’ Tom [Lawlor] is there, they’ve got some good stuff so that’s definitely worth checking out. You can go back on Bleacher Report and watch all of the AEW pay-per-views, that’s all there for people to watch.
“A lot of the time, [you] have suggestions pop-up on your phone and you go down the YouTube rabbit hole of watching all of these wacky matches from all over the world. I watch a ton of wrestling. I’ll start talking about a match and I’m talking to my wife about it, it’s like ‘we’ve got to put this on!’ It’s definitely a good time for a YouTube rabbit hole.”
