Despite what Vince McMahon calls a challenging environment due to the coronavirus pandemic, WWE’s biggest show of the year was a success for the company.
He revealed that WWE had 967 million video views across digital and social platforms on WrestleMania week, which was 20% up from last year. As previously touted, it was also the most social event for the company as they had 13.8 million social media interactions. The weekend subscriber numbers were also up as total subscribers reached 2.10 million and they had the highest weekend subscriber additions ever.
During their Q1 financial call, McMahon said that the company has to be creative and turn this troubled time into something special for the company and fans.
