It’s a very tough day for the wrestling world as over 20 talents on the WWE roster and staff have been laid off by the company. From in-ring talent to longtime veterans and agents, a wide swath of familiar WWE faces have been let go as WWE looks to realign it’s financial outlook amid the Coronavirus pandemic. These times are very tough for the talent going through the experience, but a great deal of their friends, teachers and mentors feel for them as well. Below is the string of reactions and well wishes that wrestlers and wrestling figures have sent to their colleagues that have been released. (Author’s note: this post will be updated ongoing.)

One of the all time greats.
I owe so much of my career to him.
The 3 matches I had with him around the world, helped made me who I am today. https://t.co/HcD3TLIvSa

I wish everyone the absolute best and have no doubt you will land on your feet. Times are tough, and are no reflection on your talent, skill, or worth in or outside the business. Keep your heads up ❤️

You quickly went from being a coworker to one of my close friends. You are such a good person – one of the best and I know things will end up working out for you even better than you could have imagined. So thankful to have gotten to work with you. I hope we get to do it again.❤️

And THIS is one of the reasons I have more respect for you than almost anyone. You were in my wedding. Rode together for years. And have always had my back no matter what. But being a dad doesn’t stop even if work does. https://t.co/FEbZZtITCZ
