If you’ve been following along with MLW, you’ll know that the promotion is rife with factions and alliances. Arguably, one of all of wrestling’s most dominate groups would be none other than the rogue CONTRA Unit.
With “The Samoan Werewolf” Jacob Fatu holding the MLW World Heavyweight Championship with Josef Samael at his side in addition to Simon Gotch, CONTRA has run rough-shot on the great deal of the roster since it’s inception and now it’s growing worldwide, including a mysterious group of men known as the Sentai Death Squad. Late last year, CONTRA brought in agent Ikuro Kwon, who was notorious for underground fighting in the tar pits of Saigon and was known to blind men with hot coals. Word comes from MLW that Kwon has been put on assignment for CONTRA as he makes waves in Japan. Details are below:
Ikuro Kwon remains in Japan, according to sources exclusive to MLW.com.
Kwon was dispatched by Josef Samael to return to Japan and report to Akihisa Mera. Kwon once served as an underboss to Mera, a vicious and dangerous shadowy figure.
While in Japan, CONTRA’s mysterious martial artist’s missions have included attacking the Stronghearts in their homeland as well as whispers of quests on the behalf of Kwon’s master, Akihisa Mera.
With rumblings of a connection between the new SENTAI Death Squad and Kwon’s efforts overseas, CONTRA Unit remains an unpredictable threat in Major League Wrestling.
