Chris Bey is ready to make an impact.
IMPACT Wrestling announced they have signed Bey, an independent wrestling star who has appeared for several nationally televised promotions including WWE, Ring Of Honor and IMPACT Wrestling, most recently working the latter’s Las Vegas television tapings in February. Bey has also worked frequently for GCW, Without A Cause, Bar Wrestling and Suburban Fight Pro on the independent scene.
IMPACT made the announcement during last night’s weekly broadcast; they did not confirm any details regarding contract terms at that time. Bey also commented on his signing, posting the following remarks in response to a new hype video that aired last night:

Bey has been getting recent praise in the world of professional wrestling, including from All Elite Wrestling’s Cody Rhodes on a media call Tuesday morning. When asked if AEW was still committed to signing more people of color in the new year, Rhodes noted their commitment remained the same and that he’d been watching footage of Bey as well. Cody noted that they had not talked to him in an official capacity, but called Bey a “prime example of a guy that could be potentially good for our singles division.”
