The Packaging
Each of the three sets in this series come in the typical double-figure packaging. This year’s color scheme is the red/white/black look, as seen on Series 63. The front of the box features large images of the wrestlers with their names on the side as well as the Battle Packs logo followed by the figures in the window package alongside their accessories. The back of the box features images of everyone in the set as well as info about the match the figures are based on for the specific set you have.
The Usos
The Usos in this set are actually pretty cool. They’ve had many Basic-style figures lately as they usually come in Battle Packs together and this one at least features a unique attire compared to their others lately. The figures are in their white, short sleeved hoodie-type attire with the hoods around their necks. The unique attires on each o them at least makes this set unique compared to past sets as one is in shorts while the other in the typical pants mold we see often. They also come with the SmackDown tag titles, which are nicely detailed.
They both feature their latest head scans, which are ok, but could be better. They’re honestly long overdue for some new heads as we’ve been seeing these ones for quite a bit, so hopefully that is in the works for future figures of them.
Overall, these are nice as mentioned their attire is finally different than a lot of their previous figures in the pants. The all white look is really slick looking. You can see the detail in their tattoos and what not as well, which makes them pop. Besides the recycling of the heads we are at least seeing some new molds for them. If you’re a fan I recommend picking them up in this attire.
AJ Styles vs. Daniel Bryan
This set features two Basic-style figures of their Elite 73 and Elite 74 counterparts. AJ Styles is just like his Elite 74 figure while Daniel Bryan is just like his Elite 73 figure if you didn’t happen to notice that. AJ is in his vibrant, green tights with his black and green gloves and kick pads. AJ features his logos on his elbow pad as well as his tights and kick pads. He also has his abdomen tattoo. AJ’s arm movement is a bit limited by the elbow pad as it’s a stiff rubber, making it hard to pose his arm so be patient if you desire to do that.
Daniel on the other hand looks exactly like his Elite, as mentioned, with his latest, awesome head scan with his longer hair and beard. He is rocking his black trunks, kneepads and kick pads with the red line designs on each. He also comes with his eco-friendly WWE Championship title belt as well, which I believe is the exact same as the Elite 73 one in terms of detail, etc.
Overall, this set is pretty good. AJ doesn’t have his latest smiling head scan but his previous one, which still looks just as good in my opinion. AJ’s lack of some details might be annoying but it’s because the Basic-style figures don’t have as much detail usually. Daniel on the other hand is nice, but simple as that is the overall look of this figure. The belt accessory is a great addition though if you didn’t pickup his Elite 73 one. I personally prefer the Elites of both attires but if you prefer this style of figure then this set is perfect for you.
Lita vs. Trish Stratus
Lastly, we have the best set of the three in this series. This is based on Lita vs. Trish Stratus at Evolution. They even come with a PPV chair with the Evolution logo on it. The chair folds up and everything like all the Mattel WWE toy chairs do, which is awesome.
Lita features a new head scan with her long hair. She has a ton of detail in her attire as you can see the netting on her arms and even the tattoos on her shoulders underneath the netting, which I thought was a really cool detail. You can see the detail in her left arm tattoos as well. She is also rocking what I believe is a new pants mold, which is great, followed by her short shoes.
Trish on the other hand I think has a new scan but I’m not positive as it could just be new hair. Regardless, it still looks fantastic. The highlights in her hair are great as well as it fades really nicely, giving it a realistic look. She, too, has the super detailed netting on her arms and legs followed by the gold gauntlets and designs on her overall outfit. She also has some kneepads and kickpads, which are also quite detailed.
Overall, while both of these figures are really nice it’s too bad they are Basic-style than Elites as they would look amazing with all the extra articulation. Hopefully Mattel will make them into Elite form seeing how nice they look as Basics. Not to mention the chair accessory is a nice bonus, but this set is by far my favorite of the series and I highly recommend picking it up.
Overall
I think this is one of the better Battle Pack series. The outfits are new and interesting on Trish/Lita and the Usos at least as it’s outfits we haven’t seen in Elite form. The AJ/DBry set is nice but kind of boring if you have the Elite versions. Still, overall, it’s a decent set, but the gem is really Lita/Trish in my opinion so don’t sleep on it!
