In a breaking news edition of WWE Now, roving reporter McKenzie Mitchell has confirmed that returning WWE Legend Edge is at home recovering from injuries after undergoing a series of tests this past week. Said tests are due to a vicious assault by Randy Orton at the end of last week’s RAW broadcast. Edge’s former Rated RKO tag-team partner hit him with a flurry of strikes and a Conchairto, leaving him lying in the center of the ring.

Michell reports that Edge will have an update on his condition next week, but that RKO will be in the ring on RAW tonight to explain his actions. No word on whether he’ll use the excuse that the voices in his head from his theme song made him do it, but we can hope that it’s a bit more substantial than that.
