Despite a one-week delay, Kris Statlander finally got her shot at Riho and the All Elite Wrestling Women’s Championship.

Statlander was able to get some good offense in early by overpowering the smaller champion. However, Brandi Rhodes and Awesome Kong interfered during the match and distracted Statlander’s focus. Eventually a man from under the ring emerged (said to be “Japanese deathmatch legend Luther”), who allowed Kong to attack Statlander while the referee tended to Riho. The champion recovered and had a chance to attack the injured challenger but went after Luther instead.

The end came after Kong tripped Statlander and Riho was able to pin her. Kong then entered the ring to attack Statlander and Riho was unable to stop her. Hikaru Shida would then save them while Britt Baker sat idly by in the crowd.
