Big Cass Threatens Joey Janela’s Life, Deletes Tweet (Updated)

UPDATE 2: Joey Janela responded on Twitter by saying, “Only person you’re working is yourself. Don’t come at me with threats then try to cover up your tracks, I would never ever work with you. I gave you the benefit of the doubt and wished you well but it turns out you’re just a moron.”

UPDATE: Cass has now tweeted out that “it’s a work you morons.” So, take that for what you will.

Big Cass isn’t ready to let bygones be bygones with Joey Janela.

In a now-deleted tweet, Cass told Janela that he doesn’t want him  discussing the incident anymore. “Hey @janelababy,” wrote Big Cass. “Say one more word about me and your life will end. Real talk.” He ended the message with a hashtag that read “How You Doin’?”

The two infamously got into an altercation in September backstage at a WrestlePro live event. An enraged Cass chased Janela around until being separated. The night ended with Pat Buck punching Cass and having him removed from the building after Cass had spit in his face. Cass later apologized for the incident and had said that he “let my demons get the better of me.”

Here’s his full statement from September:

I have been very honest with my past struggles, and it has been an ongoing battle. On Saturday night, I obviously let my demons get the better of me and I ruined and important night for a really great guy in an unfortunate series of events. I have worked incredibly hard to get where I am, and even harder to overcome my ongoing battle with depression. But I will work my absolute hardest to right the wrongs of Saturday night and apologize to Kevin Matthews, Pat Buck, Joey Janela, the entire WrestlePro locker room and all paties involved from the bottom of my heart. I’m getting help from family and friends as we speak and will be getting professional help in the near future and ask all to please respect my privacy in the meantime. When & if I reemerge as a public figure it will be in good faith and I hope to inspire those who struggle with the same mental health issues I do to seek the help if they need. If Tyson Fury can do it….so can I. Remember…I ain’t dead yet. And neither are you.

Back in October, Janela recalled the incident:

Then dude starts chasing me around the locker room, it’s the Rahway Rec Center. You’ve been there before. So there’s that whole gym packed that’s the locker room. So it looks like an episode of Tom & Jerry where Big Cass is chasing me around the locker, room going, ‘I’m going to shoot you, I’m going to kill you.’ Everyone’s just like, ‘What the fuck is going on?’

… I go out Gorilla and he comes in through the door and charges at me, tries to get me again. Everyone’s holding him back. And then the whole thing went down with him and SCU and Pat [Buck].

The All Elite Wrestling star also said he had sympathy for Cass. “I feel bad because I had friends that had substance abuse problems,” said Janela. “One of my best friends overdosed so I feel for him. To me at time of it, it was kind of a funny story like, ‘Oh, this guy tried to kill me.’ People leaked it on the Internet.’ I’m like, ‘Oh, this is crazy.’ And then the next day I felt like complete shit. He just didn’t know what he was doing and I felt bad. Yeah, not press charges, just tell him what was going on and get him to a hospital. You know he was dealing with something crazy.”

However, clearly Cass doesn’t like him talking about the incident.
